Performance limitations with biggest configuration

Featured Replies

Hi Mistika Team,

I have some issues with a new workstation much bigger than the old one (CPU AMD Threadripper PRO Vs AMD Ryzen 9 / GPU RTX 5090 Vs RTX 3090 / RAM 256 Go Vs 128 Go / Windows 11 Vs Windows 10 / Boutique 11.0 Vs BT 10.1 / Workflows 10.14.14 Vs 10.12.0).

I should have 2x less rendering time with this new configuration, even 3x when I tested it on old projects : exporting R3D 8K compostings to 4K h264, or to 8K equirectangular ProRes 4444).
I always have the same workflow on my Mistika Boutique timeline. But, I get the same time rendering on Workflows (and directly from Boutique) than the oldest configuration !

On some old projects, there is a huge difference. But on recent projects (few weeks ago), it's the same rendering time ! All projects are made in the same way since 3 years, so I don't understand why the biggest hardware seems to be "downsized" during rendering process...

I try to change mConfig parameters, nothing change (oldest projects faster, newest slower)

Do you have an idea about what's happening ?

Thanks for you answers.
Max.
